Harmeny School is a Learning Zone. All activities within the school community offer opportunities to increase understanding of ourselves and of the world around us. We create the frameworks to reflect on past experience, engage with the present, and create an optimistic and achievable future.
We use learning in the broadest sense of the word incorporating formal class based experiences, therapeutic care and nurture, and all the social opportunities which present throughout the whole day, every day throughout the year.
The Learning Zone is maintained by our constant striving for excellence in all our activity. The Curriculum for Excellence provides a clear focus, engaging all of our staff and acknowledging their multidisciplinary contributions to the individual child’s experience and the overall culture of ambition and achievement.
